David F. Crotty

October 10, 1926 ~ April 23, 2024

David Francis Crotty was born in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Francis and Kathryn Crotty. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during WWII, part of the Greatest Generation.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ermalinda; his seven children David W., Bruce, Constance (Charles), Kevin, Caryn (George), Pamela and Anne (Richard); grandchildren Aaron, Loren and David R. Crotty, Juston Dixon, Frank and Erica Frampton; great-grandchildren Jadyn and Tyson Frampton, Cannon and Ares Crotty.

David worked in the mineral exploration field, which took the family to many locations in the United States. Salt Lake City was their last move and final home.

He loved to walk, enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoor activities. David could fix anything and would frequently be found helping family, friends and neighbors. After retirement David and Ermalinda were “snowbirds” near Yuma, Arizona, where they made many friends.

He was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Memorial services and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
