This year’s Diocesan Science Fair entries were stronger than ever, according to Knights of Columbus State Deputy Greg Keeler. At the fair, which is sponsored by the Utah Knights of Columbus, more than 100 awards were given out to students from 18 schools. The list of top winners follows.

Young Scientist of the Year Award: Carter Jensen, Challenger

Astronomy Recognition Award: Diego Mejia, St. John the Baptist

Specialty Awards

Best Use of Mathematics: Leah Han, Our Lady of Lourdes

Best Working Model: Jaden Walters/Ben Schiffman, McGillis

Best Oral Presentation: Aiden Gandhi, Rowland Hall

 Most Unique Visual Display: Danielle Colosimo, St. John the Baptist
