The 2019 Lenten season begins with Ash Wednesday, which will be March 6. Several Lenten retreats are scheduled in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Read more in the stories listed on the landing page.

Diocesan Lenten Retreat — “Christ, the Wellspring of Joy” will feature guest retreat masters Father Ray John Marek, OMI in English, and Father Domingo Rodríguez Zambrana, ST in Spanish. Bishop Oscar A. Solis will celebrate the Eucharist. Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish’s Benvegnu Center and Holy Family Hall. $10; includes lunch. A Lenten Retreat with Mary — Hosted by the Militia of the Immaculata Villages, the retreat will include the parish Lenten prayer services on Friday and a day of reflection on Saturday with Father Alan Benander, O. Praem. of St. Michael’s Norbertine Abbey in the Diocese of Orange, Calif., and other presenters. Suggested donation of $15 to cover materials and light meals. Men’s Lenten Retreat — The theme for this three-day retreat will be “Mary, Mother of Jesus.” The spiritual director  will be Fr. Christopher Gray, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. Friday-Sunday, March 8-10 at the Diocese of Salt Lake City retreat house, 2610 Aspens Springs, Park City. $50; includes meals.
