Advent seminar brings Immaculate Heart Radio show host to St. George Catholic Church

ST. GEORGE — Deacon Steve Greco, host of the weekly Immaculate Heart Radio show “Empowered by the Spirit,” will present a daylong seminar at St. George Parish on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The seminar will be part of a weekend that includes a Healing Mass, which is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 9. Father Adrian Komar, parochial vicar of St. George Parish, will celebrate the Mass.

The co-organizers of the weekend are Patti Moesinger and Patrick Bondad, who are members of the parish’s weekly prayer group. Some of the members are originally from southern California and have continued to attend the annual Southern California Catholic Renewal Community (SCRC) event, hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Orange. It was at the SCRC events that they were inspired by the presentations by Deacon Greco.  

Deacon Greco is a staff member for the Outreach Ministry programs at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Irvine, Calif. He also hosts a weekly radio program called “Spirit-Filled Hearts,” which examines various topics related to the Catholic faith. The show focuses on enhancing faith, working with the challenges of today’s society and how an individual can be a better Catholic.    

Deacon Greco also founded the “Spirit Filled Hearts Ministry,” which dedicated to evangelization; the ministry’s activities include prayer and healing services, seminars and pilgrimages. In addition, he has published several books on his ministries.

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 10, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Kuzy Hall, St. George Catholic Church,  259 West 200 North, St. George

Presented by Deacon Steve Greco. Free; a continental breakfast and a light lunch will be served. Mass will follow at 5 p.m.

As part of the weekend, a healing Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Adrian Komar on Friday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. at the church.
