KEARNS — Anthony Capitano, 83, died Jan. 14, 2011, as a result of mesothelioma. Capitano was born July 27, 1927, to Salvatore and Vencneza Conigilia Capitano. A decorated World War II and Korean War veteran, he waso a jokester who lived life to the fullest. He loved scuba diving, senior tours and playing the harmonica with the Kearns Harmoni-Katzz. He worked at Metallurgical Resources, Combine Metals, Intermountain Smelter and retired from Tri-Delta Surgical. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Winnie Capitano; children Charlie (Elvira) Capitano, Terry L. Bird, Lynn (Marvin) Graham; Karla (Jack) Bradshaw; his parents; two brothers and a son-in-law; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Catholic Church. Interment was in Valley View Memorial Park.
