A Ceremony of Carols — Friday, Dec. 16 and Thursday, Dec. 22 at 12:15 p.m. The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine will present Benjamin Britten’s "A Ceremony of Carols," Op. 28. The 22nd annual Concert Season also includes Christmas carol services on Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m.

Holiday Boutique — Friday, Dec.2 from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 East Creek Road, Sandy. There will be over 40 vendors offering a wide variety of goods.

Saint Ambrose Annual Christmas Boutique — Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 4, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Ambrose Parish, 1995 South 2300 East, SLC. Hesburgh Lecture Series — Monday, Dec. 5, noon at ARUP Laboratories, 500 Chipeta Way, SLC and at 7 p.m. at Hunstman Cancer Institute Auditorium, 2000 Circle of Hope Drive, SLC. Topic will be "Fighting Cancer: Understanding Mechanisms of Cancer Progression" with featured speaker Crislyn D’Souza-Schorey, Ph.D. Presented by the Notre Dame Club of Utah.

49er Meeting — Monday, Dec. 5 at 1:30 p.m. there will be a general meeting at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC.

Seasonal Masses — 5 p.m. each Sunday at our Lady of Snows Station, the chapel across from Alta Lodge. The service will continue through the ski season.

Christmas Grove Lighting — Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Mount Benedict Monastery, 6000 South 1075 East, Ogden. Light refreshments will be served inside after the lighting and there will be a bake sale. A donation in any amount, in honor or in memory of a loved one may be made from now until the end of December.

Our Lady of Guadalupe feast day Mass — Monday, Dec. 12 at Saint Olaf Parish, 276 E 1700 S, Bountiful. A reception will follow the Mass.

Interfaith Las Posadas — Friday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. beginning at Crossroads Urban Center, 347 South 400 East in Salt Lake City, then proceed to First United Methodist Church and St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, ending at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. A rosary service and fiesta will follow at the cathedral.
