RCIA Study Days — Friday-Saturday, Aug. 19-20. The Zoom session for directors/coordinators is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. on Friday. The in-person general session for all RCIA team members is Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pastoral Center, 27 C St., SLC. $15 fee for the Saturday workshop includes lunch. Retirement celebration — for Fr. Clarence Sandoval, Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton. All are welcome.

Holy Hour — with the Carmelite nuns. Sunday, Aug. 21, 3 p.m. at the monastery chapel, 5214 S. Holiday Blvd., SLC. Exposition, rosary and a short homily. All are welcome.

Judge Memorial Centennial Celebration — Saturday, Aug. 27, 4-9 p.m. at Judge Memorial CHS, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Begins with Mass celebrated by Bishop Oscar A. Solis in the auditorium. Celebration includes dinner and school tours. Tickets $35 person; children 10 and under free; visit judgememorial.org.

Level I Training for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion — Tuesday, Aug. 30, 6-9 p.m. at the Chancery Building, 303 E. South Temple, SLC. $15 workshop fee covers materials. Registration required; call Corina, 801-328-8641 ext. 357.

Bishop’s Dinner — Thursday, Sept. 8, with social hour starting at 6 p.m. at the Grand America Hotel, 555 S. Main St., SLC. Benefits the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Parish Dinner and Games — Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Francis  Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Dinner: $20; includes 18 games. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 5:30 and games start at 6:30.

Give Me a Chance Fundraiser — the annual “Enchantment in the Garden” will be Saturday, Sept. 10, at Give Me A Chance, 2913 Grant Ave., Ogden. Gates open at 5 p.m.; fashion show at 6 p.m.; dinner and live auction at 6:30 p.m. Over 21 only; RSVP by Aug. 15 to Sr. Martha at 801-627-2235.

Fr. Vidal Anniversary Celebration — Saturday, Sept. 10 in St. George Parish’s Kuzy Hall, 259 West 200 North, St. George. Dinner to celebrate Fr. Gustavo Vidal’s 25th anniversary of priesthood. Tickets: $50; available after all Masses up to the weekend of Sept. 3.

Memorial Service for Victims of Abortion — Saturday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., SLC. As part of the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. Prayers, rosary and remarks by Fr. Erik Richtsteig.

Fr. Vidal Anniversary Celebration — Sunday, Sept. 11, reception in St. George Parish’s Kuzy Hall, 259 West 200 North, St. George following the 11 a.m. Mass in English and the 1 p.m. Mass in Spanish.

Level II Training — for those who minister Eucharist to the sick and shut-in. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 6-9 p.m. at the Chancery Building, 303 E. South Temple, SLC. Dedication of John Colosimo Field — Friday, Sept. 16 during the football game that starts at 7 p.m. at Juan Diego CHS’ Soaring Eagle Stadium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper.

Festa Italiana — Saturday, Sept. 17, noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 18, noon to 7 p.m. at The Gateway, 400 West 200 South, SLC. Italian food, beer and specialty wine, entertainment, car show. For information, visit www.festaitalianaslc.com.

Carmelite Fair — Sunday, Sept. 18, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 S. Holladay Blvd., SLC. Run for the Nuns 5K walk/run starts at 8 a.m. Entertainment, children’s games, food, live and silent auctions. This is the monastery’s main financial support.
