Judge Memorial CHS to honor Sisters of the Holy Cross — Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9:20 a.m. in the school’s auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Those who would like the opportunity to honor the Sisters are welcome to join the Judge Memorial student body as the Sisters are recognized for their significant contributions.

Saint Joseph the Worker FolkFest — Friday-Sunday, Sept. 7-9: Friday, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Sunday Mass under the tent at 9 a.m. with activities until 6 p.m. at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. Concert by the Irish rock band Swagger, car show, fireworks, crafts fair, kids games, Scottish Highland games, pro wrestling, Big Top games, golf and horseshoe tournaments. Saint Mary 2nd Annual Harvest Festival — Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. Car show, entertainment, farmers market, 5K run, vendors, silent auction, kids’ activities and games. There will also be a food drive to support Catholic Community Services.

Northern Deanery Catholic Youth Conference — Saturday, Sept. 8 at Saint Joseph High School, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. Open to students 7th-12th grade, with main speaker Pete Espil, youth director from Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Curch in Idaho. Cost $5 per student. Saint Joseph CHS Fall Steak Fry — Sunday, Sept. 9 beginning at 4 p.m. with a social hour, at the home of Mary Evans, 4950 Old Post Road, Ogden.

Saint Andrew Fall Festival — Friday-Sunday, Sept. 14, 5-9 p.m.; Sept. 15 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.; Sept. 16 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 11835 South 3600 West, Riverton. Games, go-karts, bounce houses, talent show and vendors selling jewelry, clothes, home products, and trinkets. Tickets will be sold for the food, drinks,and games.

St Francis of Assisi Bingo — Friday, Sept. 14, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 65 East 500 North, Orem. Cost $14 with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and bingo at 7 p.m.

Saint Lawrence Mission Fall Festival — Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Saint Lawrence Mission, 100 W. Center St., Heber. Event includes beer garden, food, music, farmers market, bake sale, silent auction, children’s games, jump house, petting zoo and dog sled rides.

Holy Family Fun Fest — Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, Ogden. Open to the public with free live music, food and beverages, children’s inflatables, games, a silent auction, bake sale, retail bazaar and outdoor movie. "The Mighty Macs" — Friday, Sept. 21, 7 p.m., Saint Ambrose Catholic Church Parish Hall, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. Year of Faith — Thursday, Oct. 11, the "Year of Faith" proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI will open around the world. In the Diocese of Salt Lake City, it will open officially with a "Noon Day Prayer" service at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. The service will be the "Noon Day Liturgy of the Hours" and will be about 30 minutes. All are invited.

Cathedral of the Madeleine Children’s Religious Education — Classes begin on Sunday, Sept. 9. Education registration is available from 9-9:25 a.m. each Sunday in the lower level of the Cathedral in Room 7 for preK (4-year-old) through 12th grade.
