Diocesan Advent Retreat — Saturday, Dec. 2 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. The English session will be 9-11:30 a.m., followed by a bilingual liturgy at 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The Spanish session will follow from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The presenter for the English session will be Fr. Joseph Delka, parochial vicar of St. Joseph Parish, Ogden. The presenter for the Spanish session will be Fr. Christopher Gray, parochial vicar of the Cathedral of the Madeleine. 40 Hours for Vocations — Monday – Friday, Dec. 4-8, beginning after the 8 a.m. Mass and ending before the 5:15 p.m. Mass each day at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. Eucharistic Adoration to pray for the intention of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. 

Christmas Concert — presented by Weber State University Alumni Choir. Monday, Dec. 4, 7:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, Ogden. 

Advent Penance Service — Monday, Dec. 4, 7 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Four priests will be available to hear Confession in English, Spanish and Polish.

St. Ambrose Church Rededication – Thursday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m. Mass with Bishop Oscar A. Solis presiding, followed by a celebratory gathering in the social hall. The church is located at 1975 South 2300 East, SLC.

Mass at Alta — Sunday Mass is offered at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel through the ski season. Mass is at 5 p.m. in the chapel, located directly across the street from the Alta Lodge, next to the Shallow Shaft restaurant. Mass on Christmas Day and Easter Day will be at 10 a.m. There will be no Christmas Eve Mass this year.

Volunteers Needed — St. Joseph Villa Nursing Home, 451 Bishop Federal Lane, SLC, is looking for volunteers to assist with resident games on Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. For information and to sign up, contact Morgan Lomeli at 385-775-5284.
