Red Mass — Friday, Sept. 5, at noon in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Diocese of Salt Lake City will celebrate the annual Red Mass, with Bishop John C. Wester presiding. All are invited to join in honoring those in the legal professions.

Volunteering in Foreign Countries — Saturday, Aug 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Saint Ambrose Catholic Church Vaughan Center, 1950 South 2300 East, SLC. The Peace and Justice group will host a discussion on volunteering. Cheese and wine and some international treats will be served. Judge Memorial Back-to-School Night — Wednesday, Sept. 3, 6-8:35 p.m. at Judge Memorial CHS, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Parents will have the opportunity to follow their student’s schedule, meet their student’s teachers, and visit the counseling center and the Spirit Shop.

Folk Fest – Sept. 5-7, at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. The festival includes live music, entertainment, raffle, food booths, beer garden, bingo, blackjack, car show, craft fair, laser tag, horseshoe tournament, outdoor Mass and brunch. White Mass — Sunday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Honoring health care professionals; Bishop  John C. Wester will preside at the Mass, which will be followed by a presentation by Dr. Maureen Condic.

Our Lady of Lourdes Spaghetti Dinner — Sunday, Sept. 28, 1 -7 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 South 9000 West, Magna. Cost is $13 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under.

Bingo — Every Friday night doors open at 5:45 p.m. for dinner and bingo starts at 6:45 p.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Cost is $15 includes dinner with 18 games of bingo.

St. Augustine's feast day — Thursday, August 28 at 6 p.m. at Magdalene Religious Goods and Coffee Grotto, 2030 South 900 East Suite E, SLC. Fr. Christopher Gray will talk about his master's thesis. We will take orders for his thesis and all proceeds will be donated to the Salt Lake Diocese Office of Vocations.
