Climate Change Lecture — The Park City Interfaith Council and Citizens Climate Education will present a two-part series on climate change. The lecture will be on Sunday, Oct. 8, followed by a “Solutions Seminar” on Sunday, Oct. 15. Both events will be held at 6 p.m. at Temple Har Shalom, 3700 Brookside Dr., Park City. Common Prayer — Sunday, Oct. 8, 3 p.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1070 Foothill Drive in SLC. The Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City and the Rocky Mountain Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will join in Common Prayer. The service will focus on Christian unity in light of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Bishop Jim Gonia of the Rocky Mountain Synod and Bishop Oscar A. Solis will be the celebrants. All are invited.

Eccles Organ Festival — Sunday, Oct. 8, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Thomas Ospital, an acclaimed organist from France, will perform. Free and open to the public.

50th Anniversary Dinner — celebrating CCS’ St. Vincent de Paul dining hall. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 5-7 p.m. at the dining hall, 427 West 200 South, SLC. Free.

School Tour — Wednesday, Oct. 11, 9 a.m. at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School, 2335 Redondo Ave., SLC. Parents of prospective students from 2 years to 8th grade are invited. For information, email Maggie Kearns, mkearns@cosgriff.org. 

Protestant Reformation Series — The first of a five-part ecumenical series in observance of the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s publication of his 95 theses, which marked the beginning of the Protestant Reformation will take place Wednesday, Oct. 11, 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 8575 S. 700 E., Sandy. The Rev. Dr. James Wakefield will present “Luther’s Experience and the Priesthood of All Believers.” Free, open to the public.

Our Lady of Fatima Mass — The Diocese of Salt Lake City will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima on Thursday, Oct. 12, with a Mass at 6 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Bishop Oscar A. Solis will preside. A procession with the Blessed Sacrament and recitation of the rosary will follow the Mass. All are welcome. Resources for Our Lady of Fatima celebrations for families or classrooms are available at www.dioslc.org.

Fall Music Concert — Judge Memorial CHS will present its annual fall music concert on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Judge auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated.

Free Football Night — Friday, Oct. 13. Bulldog Nation Free Spaghetti Dinner 6-7 p.m., followed by Judge Memorial CHS’ game with Carbon High School at 7 p.m. All Catholic school students and their families can attend both events free. Entrance is at the southwest corner of the cafeteria at the school, 650 South 1100 East, SLC.  

Festival of Light — Friday, Oct. 13, 6-9 p.m. at the Show Barn, 3003 North Thanksgiving Way, Lehi. Hosted by the non-profit organization Cambodia Job Foundation, which supports Cambodian youth. Rosary Prayer Rally — Saturday, Oct. 14, noon at the intersection of 10600 South and State Street in Sandy. Join the local rosary that is part of the national effort to respond to Our Lady of Fatima’s request to pray the rosary. For information, call Helen, 801-561-0095.

Parish Dinner and Game Night — sponsored by Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Lions Club, 320 Hillcrest St., Copperton. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; dinner at 7 p.m.

Benefit Luncheon — hosted by the Catholic Woman’s League. Saturday, Oct. 14, beginning with a social hour at 11 a.m. at Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main St., SLC. Beneficiaries are Saint Marguerite School and Volunteers of America. St. Lawrence Mission Celebration — Saturday, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. on the southeast corner of S. Mill Road and E. 980th South, Heber City. The St. Lawrence Mission will celebrate 50 years of service and launch its capital campaign to build the new church and community center. All are welcome. From 5-6 p.m., the Knights of Columbus will serve food and drink.
