Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Thursday through Monday, Dec. 30 – Jan. 3 for the New Year’s holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 8:30 a.m.

Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother of God — falls on Saturday, Jan. 1, and therefore it is not a holy day of obligation this year. However, Bishop Oscar A. Solis, cognizant of the importance of our Blessed Mother in the Church and in the faith life of the people of God, encourages all faithful to attend Mass on this day at their parish if it is offered.

Diocesan Bilingual Rosary — to pray for the unborn. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U. St., SLC. Weather permitting, it will be outdoors, by the Monument for the Unborn, which is in front of the mausoleum. In inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the mausoleum.

Needed: People in need — Catholic Woman’s League is accepting applications from Utah 501(c)-3 non-profit organizations to be considered as beneficiary of their annual Benefit Luncheon to be held in the fall of 2022. Parishes, schools, religious or secular organizations are all eligible. Urge your favorite charity to apply. Applications are due by Feb. 9. Mass at Alta — The celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays has resumed at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel at Alta ski resort. Mass is at 5 p.m. The chapel is located directly across from the Alta Lodge and below the Alta City offices. Mass will continue throughout the ski season. Mass on Christmas and Easter will be at 10 a.m.

Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. All safety protocols have been put into place.
