Respect for the Dignity of Life Day — Saturday, Jan. 29, 9 a.m. – noon, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. The event will begin with a bilingual Mass, followed by talks on Catholic Teaching on the Dignity of Human Life by Father Sam Dinsdale, End of Life issues with Dr. Catherine Stokes, and a legislative update by Jean Hill. The talks will be translated into Spanish for those who attend in person; the entire event will be live-streamed (English only) via Facebook Live (you must register to receive the link). Register at

First Friday Mass — Friday, Feb. 4, 9 a.m. at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale. With the Catholic Woman’s League; members will pray a rosary after the Mass, then gather at a nearby restaurant for breakfast. All are welcome. RSVP to Diane at or 801-580-0169.

Healing Mass — Friday, Feb. 4, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Holy Mass, preaching by Fr. Roy Varghese Palatty, CMI, spiritual director of Shalom Media, and healing Adoration. For information, contact or 408-518-2939.

Game Night — Friday, Feb. 4 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.; dinner at 5:30 p.m.; games start at 6:30 p.m. Cost: $20 for dinner and 18 games.

Marriage Enrichment Mass — hosted by the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Friday, Feb. 11, 6 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 Spring Lane, SLC.

Needed: People in Need — Catholic Woman’s League is accepting applications from Utah 501-(c)-3 non-profit organizations to be considered as beneficiary of their annual Benefit Luncheon to be held in the fall of 2022. Parishes, schools, religious or secular organizations are all eligible. Urge your favorite charity to apply. Applications are due by Feb. 9. Bilingual Rosary for Life — the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.

Mass at Alta — The celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays continues at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel at Alta ski resort. Mass is at 5 p.m. The chapel is located directly across from the Alta Lodge and below the Alta City offices. Mass will continue throughout the ski season. Mass on Easter will be at 10 a.m.  

Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. All safety protocols have been put into place.
