Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 2-3, for the New Year’s holiday. It will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8:30 a.m.
Dinner and Games — Friday, Jan. 6 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Dinner: $23, includes 18 games. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 5:30 and games start at 6:30. 
First Friday Rosary — sponsored by the Catholic Woman’s League; includes Mass. Friday, Jan. 6, at 9 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9800 South 1700 East, Sandy. All are welcome.
First Saturday Devotion — Saturday, Jan 7, beginning with Mass at 9 a.m., followed by a rosary and potluck breakfast and discussion. This will be the first of 10 “First Saturday” gatherings at Blessed Sacrament Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. The first discussion will be “what is the ideal Marian devotion” and “why the First Saturdays.” For information, contact Phil, 801-860-0404.
The Solemnity of the Epiphany — Sunday, Jan. 8. The Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC, will be Saturday, Jan. 7 at 5 p.m. in English and 7 p.m. in Spanish. Mass on Jan. 8 in English will be at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mass in Spanish will be at 3 p.m. Check your local parish for Mass times.
Eccles Organ Festival — Sunday, Jan. 8, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Recital by Scott Dettra, Church of the Incarnation, Dallas, Texas. The concert will be livestreamed on the Eccles Festival’s YouTube channel.
Benvegnu Lecture — Thursday, Jan. 12, 7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Presenter is Father Samuel Dinsdale, pastor. He will speak on “The Eucharist as Sacrament of Unity.” Free and open to the public.
Bilingual Rosary for Life — Saturday, Jan. 15, 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U St., SLC, by the Monument for the Unborn.
9 Days for Life novena — Jan. 19-27, sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Sign up to receive text and/or email messages daily with the novena or download the entire novena at https://www.respectlife.org/9-days-signup.
Mass for the Unborn and Ceremony of Lights — Friday, Jan. 20, 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. A ceremony of lights will be held outside the cathedral after the Mass.
Parish Centennial — Spiritual retreat for the Notre Dame de Lourdes community, Saturday, Jan. 21, 9 a.m. to noon at Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish, 210 N. Carbon Ave., Price.
Memorial Service for the Unborn in Utah — Wednesday, Jan. 25, noon, on the steps of the Utah State Capitol al. Program will include speakers from several religious and pro-life leaders. At 1 p.m. a memorial bell will ring to honor the pre-born lives lost since the Utah Abortion Trigger Law was enjoined. Hosted by Pro-Life Utah.
Respect for the Dignity of Life Day Workshop — Jan. 28. The diocese will sponsor this event; time and location have not yet been determined. 
Concert — Back to Bach, Tuesday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Part of the Cathedral Family Series. Free and open to the public.
Volunteers Needed — The St. Vincent Homeless Center in Salt Lake City is in need of volunteers for multiple shifts. Volunteers Needed — Those wishing to volunteer with Catholic Community Services in the Ogden area may assist in the warehouse, sorting donated food items, tracking inventory, and assembling boxes and bags of food for clients.
