Documentary film discussion — The Aquinas Institute of St. Joseph Catholic Schools will present compilations from the documentary film Human on Thursday, Feb. 18, 7 p.m. at St. Joseph CHS, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. Sean Davis, veteran and author, will facilitate the event and discuss his work. Free and open to the public.

Community-wide Spaghetti Dinner — sponsored by the Judge Memorial CHS Boys’ lacrosse team. Saturday, Feb. 20, 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 1100 East, 650 South, SLC.  Tickets available at the door: $8/person or $25/family.

Institution of Acolyte — for the 15 candidates in the Diocese of Salt Lake City permanent diaconate formation program, Saturday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. All in the diocese are welcome to attend.

Catholic Relief Services Presentation — by Msgr. Padraic Loftus, a CRS Global Fellow who has been in Syria, at the Cathedral of the Madeleine during the regular weekend Masses Feb. 27 – 28. CRS is the official international relief and development agency that assists the poor and vulnerable in 103 countries on behalf of the Catholic community in the United States.

Diocesan Lenten Retreat — Saturday, March 5, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Retreat master will be Oblate Father Ray John Marek. Lenten Retreat – Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in St. George Catholic Church’s Kuzy Hall, 259 West 200 North, St. George. Speakers will be Father Rick Sherman, Christ the King Parish; Carol Drake of St. George Parish; Carol Hollowell, director Switchpoint Community Resource Center; and a guest speaker who is a client of Switchpoint. Salt Lake Deanery Spring Luncheon — Saturday, March 5, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2864 South 9800 West, Magna. Social 11 a.m.; lunch and program at noon. Healing Mass — Every third Saturday of the month at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, 3560 West 3650 South, West Valley City. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 8 a.m.

Seasonal Mass at Alta — Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel, across from Alta Lodge, at 5 p.m. each Sunday until the end of April. Mass on Easter Sunday will be at 10 a.m.
