Forced to Flee — Thursday, Sept. 27, 5-7:30 p.m. at the Gallivan Center, 239 Main St., SLC. Experience the journey of becoming a refugee, guided by former refugees who have firsthand experience. Sponsored by Catholic Community Services of Utah. Free and open to the public.

Reservation Deadline — is Sept. 28 for the Catholic Woman’s League Fall Benefit Luncheon. Tickets: $38; mail reservations with payment to Jenny Maffuccio, 13297 N. Deer Canyon Drive, Kamas Utah 84036.  The event will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Little America. This year’s beneficiaries are St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and Peace House.

Community Festival and Car Show — Sept. 29-30. Festival hours are Saturday, noon to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton. The car show will be Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
