Pastoral Center closed — Monday, Jan. 16, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Pastoral Center will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Living Rosary for Life — Friday, Jan. 20, St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, will host its annual “Living Rosary for Life” immediately after the 5 p.m. Communion Service. Volunteers needed. For information and to sign-up, please call 801-898-3821.

Rosary for Life — Sunday, Jan. 22, 2 p.m. at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., SLC. The ceremony will take place at the Monument to the Unborn, located outside of the mausoleum. In case of bad weather, the rosary will be held in the mausoleum. All are welcome.

Shadow Day — on Monday, Jan. 23 at Judge Memorial CHS, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. Students in grades 8-12 who are interested in attending Judge Memorial CHS are invited to spend the day shadowing a current Judge student. Class on Catholic Dogma — Patience Kabamba, an anthropology professor at Utah Valley University, is offering a series of classes on the role of dogma in the Catholic faith. The one-hour classes will continue at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23 in the Dominguez Room of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church’s classroom building, 65 East 500 North, Orem. Free and open to the public.

Communities Talk — Monday, Jan. 23, 7-8 p.m. in the Juan Diego CHS auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Representatives of seven area schools will present “A Prevention Education Discussion.” Parents of middle school and high school students are encouraged to attend. Free.

March 4 Life — by Pro-Life Utah on Saturday, Jan. 28, 11 a.m. at Washington Square, 451 S. State St., SLC. Participants will gather in Washington Square to walk to the Utah State Capitol steps, in the name of bringing awareness to the millions of infant lives lost since the passage of Roe v Wade. Free and open to the public. Donations of diapers and baby wipes will be accepted for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Salt Lake City.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity — The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement are providing materials for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which begins Wednesday, Jan. 18 and continues until Jan. 25. The friars invite the entire Christian community across the globe to pray in communion with the prayer of Jesus “that all may be one” (John 17:21). Supplemental materials for the week of prayer, including prayer guides, cards and posters, can be found on the website www.geii.org; prayer materials may be ordered in English or Spanish.
