Saint Patrick Parish Festival Days — Friday Aug. 5 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday Aug., 6 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Saint Patrick Church, 1058 West 400 South, Salt Lake City. There will be ethnic foods, live entertainment, kids game booths, silent auction, raffle, cake walk, games and prizes.

Saturday Mass — Saint George Church, 259 West 200 North, St. George, will be making a permanent Mass time change on the first week in August. The Saturday Mass will now start at 5 p.m. instead of 5:30 p.m.

Knights of Columbus Supreme Convention — Aug. 2-4 in Denver, Colo. The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, will be among the more than 70 bishops, archbishops and cardinals to attend. The opening Mass is 9:30 a.m. Aug. 2, with Supreme Knight Carl Anderson’s message at 1 p.m. and the State Dinner at 7:30 p.m., all broadcast live on EWTN.

MI Families — Sunday, Aug. 7 at 1 p.m., in recognition of the 70th anniversary of St. Maximilian Kolbe’s martyrdom, MI Families of the Immaculata will offer a class on Total Consecration at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. On Sunday, Aug. 14, there will be a Rite of Total Consecration, followed by a reception. For information, call Donna, 801-898-3821.

St. Joseph’s Villa — Monday, Aug. 8 at 11:30 a.m. The Most Reverend John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, will celebrate Mass of Thanksgiving at Saint Joseph Villa, 451 Bishop Federal Lane (1900 South), Salt Lake City. There is daily Mass at 11:30 a.m. and/or rosary at 3:30 p.m. in the Villa Chapel.

Annual Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance Event — Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at Salt Lake City Main Library, 400 South 200 East, Salt Lake City. The Utah Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (UCAN) in partnership with the Salt Lake Film Center hosts a Day of Remembrance to acknowledge the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

Bilingual Rosary for Life — The fourth Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 506 24th St., Ogden.

78th Annual All-State Italian Day — Sunday August 14 at Lagoon, 375 Lagoon Drive, Farmington. Gates open and registration starts at 11 a.m. with games and activities throughout the day. 2 for 1 discount ride passes. For information call 801-699-1934.

Judge Memorial New Student and Freshman Orientation — Friday, Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. in the auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. Registration will be in the foyer; lunch will be provided and dismissal will be at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Parish Wide Yard Sale — Saturday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Saint Joseph’s Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden. The Knights of Columbus will be selling food.

Summer Festival 2011 — Saturday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Vietnamese Parish, 5415 South 4360 West, Kearns, will host a carnival. St. Francis Xavier Parish Festival — Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Francis Xavier 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Beginning at 8 a.m. will be farmer’s market and garage sale, at 9 a.m. there will be a children’s fun run, festival activities from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and concludes with a dance at 8 p.m., which will cost $10 a person.
