Saint John the Baptist Parish 12th Annual Festival of Roses — May 13 - 15. Friday, May 13: Carnival rides and games from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.; family dinner and a live band. Festival of Roses 5K Run/1 Mile Fun Walk — Saturday, May 14, at 8 a.m., in the circle of the Skaggs Catholic Center, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Registration fees on race day are: 5K Run - $18 adults, $12 children 12 and under. Fun Walk -$12. Celebration of Thanksgiving — The Filipino-American Community of Utah is hosting a parade and buffet of Philippine cuisine May 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Parish, 3015 Creek Road in Sandy. Judge Memorial Catholic High School 7th Annual Psychology Fair — Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Judge auditorium foyer, 650 South, 1100 East, Salt Lake City. Psychology students will display and discuss their original psychological research. Parents and friends are invited to visit, and serve informally as judges. All are welcome.

Empty Bowls —Saturday, May 7 from noon until 4 p.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall, 437 West 200 South, Salt Lake City. Clay Arts, Utah is teaming up with Catholic Community Services to help feed the hungry in our community. To help, join us for a simple meal of soup and bread, then have the opportunity to pick out a handmade bowl to take home as a reminder. Bowls are a suggested donation of $15. All proceeds benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall.

Fun and Faith Festival — June 10-12. June 10, a Mexican dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by dancing with music provided by "Grupo Illusion" at Saint Martin de Porres Parish, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets available at the door. Festivities on Saturday begin at 10 a.m., with a magic show at 2 p.m., and games for adults at 6:30 p.m. Masses on Sunday will be followed by breakfast.
