Estate Planning with a Feminine Touch — Tuesday, March 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mount Benedict Monastery, 6000 South 1075 East, Ogden. Jodie LeBlanc and Janice Wells will cover such topics as estate planning, estate taxes, personal property distributions, powers of attorney, Last Will and Testament and health care directives. Lenten Fish Fry — March 18 after Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 South 9000 West, Magna. Our Lady of Lourdes Knights of Columbus Council 9731 would like to invite all to our parish. The meal will be served in the parish hall.

Annual Diocesan Lenten Retreat — Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Parish, 3015 East Creek Road, Sandy. Dominican Father Wayne A. Cavalier, Ph.D will be the retreat master for a day of prayer. The theme is "Not as People See Does God See," taken from 1 Samuel 16:7. The retreat is open to all adults and will include morning praise, a catered luncheon and Eucharist. The first 100 people to register will receive a copy of "Not By Bread Alone," daily reflections for Lent by Bishop Robert F. Morneau. Saint John the Baptist Parish Lenten Mission — Holy Cross Father Patrick Hannon will lead a parish mission March 21-23 at 7 p.m. at Saint John the Baptist Parish, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. He will be celebrant and homilist at the weekend Masses March 19 at 5 p.m. and March 20 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Fr. Hannon is an author and a graduate of the University of Portland, and currently a professor there in the department of theology. For more information call 801-984-7109. 22nd Annual Leprechaun Lope — Saturday, March 19, with late registration from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. Adults are $25, children 14 and under are $15, late registration is $35. St. Patrick’s Parade — Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m. at the intersection of 400 West and 200 North, Salt Lake City. Route proceeds down 400 West to 150 North, through Gateway Center to 200 South where it disbands. All participants are invited to the party from 10:30 to 4 p.m. at the Gateway Hall (Union Pacific Depot) located near the north end of the Gateway Mall.

Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner — Sunday March 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, 7405 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. The annual "Secret Recipe" Dinner is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors (62+) and juniors under 12. Join us at 5 p.m. for Mass in honor of St. Patrick in our new beautiful church. St. Patrick’s Feast Day — Sunday, March 20, at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church, 4900 South Wasatch Street (250 East) in Murray. All are invited to an Irish Dinner sponsored by the Men’s Club of St. Jude Parish. It will include corn beef and cabbage, beverages, and desserts for a $10 donation for adults and $5 for children. An Evening with Irish Poets — March 19 at 7 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral Dean’s Hall, 231 East 100 South, Salt Lake City. This very Irish evening features poetry readings from the land of the saints and poets. The public is welcome, and the price is a gift of a few cans of food for the church’s food pantry. Park on the north side of the cathedral.

St. Benedict’s Foundation 5th annual Fun-raiser — Join us by making a donation by March 25 to "The Nun Ball." Donations received will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Town Hall Meeting on Drug Free Coalition — Tuesday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in the Juan Diego Catholic High School Little theatre, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. A new Drug Free coalition of schools, government, police, medical and prevention agencies is forming to address, and prevent, rising drug and alcohol related crimes in Draper. Children can volunteer — The Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank in Ogden now has opportunities for families to introduce their children to volunteering. We can facilitate families with younger children, 5 to 12 years old, during one of our family sessions on Thursday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Parents must accompany their children during these sessions. Save the Date — The Office of Youth Ministry, in conjunction with the Office of Hispanic Ministry, will host a Mass for the youth of the diocese at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. The Most Reverend John C. Wester will celebrate. All are invited, but minors must be accompanied by a responsible chaperone or parent. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

Incoming Frosh Dance — Friday, March 11, for the Class of 2014 and the incoming Class of 2015, to be held in the Judge Memorial Catholic High School gym, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. There is no charge for the Class of 2015. The cost for the Class of 2014 is $3. Tickets may be purchased at the door. This is a great night of meeting new friends and catching up with old friends. Blessed Sacrament Elementary/Middle School — now enrolling for 2011-2012 school year for pre-school 3-year-olds, full-day kindergarten through 8th grade. National Catholic Youth Choir extends deadline — Catholic students entering 10th through 12th grade in the fall of 2011 are encouraged to come to the NCYC camp June 14-28, 2011 at Saint John’s Abbey and University in Collegeville, Minn. The cost is $900, and scholarships are available by applying online at www.CatholicYouthChoir.org. Applications are due March 7, 2011 to March 28. Please notify us, if you intend to apply.
