There is no better way to get excited about art than to get everyone involved!
At J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School, students in every grade in art class learned about the artist Kelsey Montague from Nashville, Tenn.
Kelsey creates interactive wing murals all over the country to get people excited about not only viewing art but being a part of the art.
We at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School decided to be a part of her national campaign “What Lifts Us,” and create our own set of wings. Every student created a feather using lessons of line, color and pattern.
As an individual piece of art, they were impressive, but when we put them together to make wings, they were a masterpiece. When we thought of “What Lifts Us,” we thought of our grandparents, families, faculty, and staff. They are all an integral part of lifting every student up and making us what we are.
Thank you for sharing in our masterpiece – you all inspired us.
