Memorial Day Commemorative Mass —Monday, May 30 at 9 a.m., Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, will commemorate Memorial Day with an outdoor Mass at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., Salt Lake City. Boy Scout Troop 202 will conduct a flag ceremony prior to Mass.

Judge Hosts Summer Athletic Camps — Judge Memorial Catholic High School will host athletic camps in June for a variety of sports. Registration is now being accepted. Boy’s basketball camp grades 5-12 and boys’ and girls’ soccer camp grades K-8 begins June 13. Girls’ basketball camp for grades 5-12 begins June 27. Cross country camps for girls and boys begins June 15. Additional opportunities available for football, swimming, golf, and hockey. An Evening of Entertainment — Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m., hosted by St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 1505 W. White Pine Canyon Road, Park City. The concert will feature St. Mary’s youth minister and cantor Kimberly Tosti, showcasing a mix of operatic and Christian music. All are invited and welcome. RCIA Workshop —Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 27 C St., Salt Lake City. Presenter Sister Donna Steffen will discuss ‘Conversion’s Partner in Christian Initiation.’ Cost is $12 per person or $10 per person for groups of three or more. Registration deadline is May 25. Farewell Reception — for Monsignor Victor Bonnell Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m., Saint Rose Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel St., Layton, . There will be a series of speakers, followed by a light buffet.

Summer Speaker Series — Saturday, June 5 noon to 4:30 p.m. at Washington Park, 10 minutes up Parley’s Canyon. The cost is $10. The keynote presenters are Brooke Burns and Zach Hunter. Musicians/bands are Chelsea Florence and Los Mascorros. Saturday, June 12 at Saint Mary Parish, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, 2 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Cost is $10. Keynote presenters are Emma Sleeth and the Oscar Sanchez band.

Mass of Thanksgiving — to honor Monsignor Rudolph Daz as he retires Sunday, June 5, at 11:15 a.m. at St. Olaf Parish, 1800 S. Orchard Drive, Bountiful. A reception will follow in the McNamara Center until 3 p.m.

Summer Series —Starting Thursday, June 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, the Office of Religious Education is offering weekly classes for catechists. Fun and Faith Festival — June 10-12. June 10, a Mexican dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by dancing with music provided by "Grupo Illusion" at Saint Martin de Porres Parish, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets available at the door. Festivities on Saturday begin at 10 a.m., with a magic show at 2 p.m., and games for adults at 6:30 p.m. Masses on Sunday will be followed by breakfast. St. Andrew Catholic Church and School Yard Sale — Beginning Saturday, June 11, 12, 17, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 18 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., 11835 South, 3600 West, Riverton. Items for sale include: clothing, TV, bedroom set, furniture, mattress, toys, books, dishes, electronics, baby equipment. Hamburgers and hot dogs will also be for sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the 11 and 17.

Crossroads Walking Through Utah — Saturday, June 11 starting at 8 a.m., college students who are walking this summer from San Francisco to Washington D.C. to witness for the unborn will pass through Utah. Starting with Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine at 8 a.m. and a short walk for life from the Cathedral to 515 South 400 East, to pray outside the abortion clinic around 10 a.m. See www.crossroadswalk.org.

Father Semple’s 50th Anniversary — Sunday, June 12. St. Joseph the Worker Parish invites you to join the celebration. An outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. followed by a barbecue luncheon along with games and activities for children and adults. Call 801-255-8902 for information

Memorial Mass for Sister Fabian Uriot — Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 7405 S. Redowood Road, West Jordan. Features a display of photos of Sister Fabian’s life and memory book. A reception will follow the Mass.

Dine to Donate — Wednesday June 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Texas Roadhouse at 5418 South 1900 West in Taylorsville. The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a fundraiser for Special Olympics of Utah. Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of your purchase, just mention the Knights of Columbus or Special Olympics to your server.

Women of Afghanistan — June 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The Cathedral of the Madeleine’s Women’s Society will be collecting clothing for women and children (ages 3-7) and school supplies. Our Lady of Lourdes, Magna, Golf Tournament — Saturday, June 25, shotgun start at 7 a.m. for an 18-hole, 4-person scramble at West Ridge Golf Course, 5055 S. Youth Ministry — The Office of Youth Ministry will host three summer camps, "Saints and Super-heroes." The Family Camp is July 29-31 at $35 per person. Junior High Camp for students going into grades 7-9 is July 31-Aug. 5; cost is $255. Elementary Camp for students going into grades 4-6 is Aug. 7-10; cost is $195. Along with our usual hikes, crafts and otherwise great Catholic programming, this year youth campers can challenge themselves on the ropes courses at Camp Tuttle. Elementary campers will do the low ropes course while junior high campers can put their teamwork, communication, and courage to the test on the high ropes course.
