SALT LAKE CITY — Betty T. Kasting, 82, passed away May 23, 2011 at Peach Tree Assisted Living Center.

She was born July 17, 1928 to Andrew and Ottillia Todeschi in Salt Lake City. She married Larry Kasting on May 3, 1947 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden. On May 3, 2011 they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

She was a "Pink Lady" for 30 years at St. Benedict Hospital, accumulating over 3,000 volunteer hours. Kasting was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and Altar Society. She was also a charter director of the Stewart Rehabilitation Center Woman’s Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Bob Todeschi.

She is survived by her husband, Larry and two children, Kent Kasting (Connie), Bozeman, Mont. and Susan Cross (Tony), Pleasant View, Utah, one brother, Joe Todeschi (Carol), Denver, Colo., sister-in-law, Bonnie Todeschi, Nampa, Idaho. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Justin Kasting, Adam Hemmelgarn, Dr. Carey Hemmelgarn and one great grandson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
