Bishop Wester appoints Deacon George Reade as chancellor

Salt Lake City — Bishop John C. Wester is pleased to announce the appointment of Deacon George Reade as Chancellor for the Diocese of Salt Lake City. 

Deacon Reade succeeds Lyle Crocker, who has worked for the diocese for more than four years, beginning as part of the Internal Audit staff. 

“We are grateful for Mr. Crocker’s dedication and service and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Bishop Wester said.

Deacon Reade, ordained in Salt Lake City over 11 years ago, has been a member of Saint Ambrose Parish for 22 years and is currently assigned as deacon for the parish. Along with his pastoral responsibilities, he is also in charge of managing all diocesan properties and serves as a member of the Steering Committee for the Strategic Pastoral Plan. He will retain these responsibilities as he transitions into the full-time role as chancellor.
