Bishop of Salt Lake City

The Black Catholics of Utah gathered at the 5 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine last Saturday afternoon during the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. During that Mass we paid special tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. and his work to bring about racial equality in our country. Once again, my hat is off to Illa Wright for representing the Black Catholics of our diocese. We must never tire of confronting the challenge of prejudice in our country, seeking to eradicate it completely as we seek to live together in mutual respect and solidarity as God's holy people.
