SALT LAKE CITY — Brida Elizabeth Akins, 1 month 14 days, passed away Aug. 9, 2012. Akins was born June 25, 2012, to Erin and Samuel J. Akins. She was born with a congenital heart defect and was recovering from surgery at 3 days of age. She was a tremendous blessing to her family, who are overjoyed to have had their short time with her. Akins is survived by her parents; sisters Rosemary, Mairead and Maggie; grandparents Patricia and Colin K. Kearns and Joan and Samuel O. Akins; aunts and uncles and six loving cousins. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church.
