Cathedral of the Madeleine celebrates Passion Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY — On Passion Sunday, the Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, celebrated two Masses at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, one in English and the other in Spanish. "During this Holy Week, let us strive to surrender to the Lord Jesus, to place ourselves squarely on the way of the cross," Bishop Wester said in his homily, "to say, ‘Jesus, ... help me to see that my suffering is joined to your suffering and that if I truly follow you as your disciple, that your cross will lead me to eternal life."
