On Dec. 2, about 22 boys from Cub Pack 4500 at St. John the Baptist Parish gathered to build lunches for children who are staying at the Road Home. They chose to undertake this service project rather than have a holiday party. The boys, who are aged 7 to 12, worked efficiently in six stations to produce 120 filled lunch bags. Each bag was stapled closed with a personal note from one of the Scouts. The boys understood that without their efforts the children at the Road Home would not have a lunch on Monday. Several Boy Scouts from Troop 1966 based at Blessed Sacrament Parish assisted and supervised the Cub Scouts as they built leadership skills.
