'Catholics Can' Mass at St. Joseph the Worker + Enlarge
By The Most Rev. John C. Wester
Bishop of Salt Lake City

Many thanks to Dolores Lopez and Carol Ruddell for all their work in organizing our annual Catholic Disabilities Mass. Father Patrick Carley, pastor of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, and Father David Van Massenhove, pastor of Saint Thomas More Parish, joined us along with Deacon Gene Farrell from Saints Peter and Paul Parish for a wonderful celebration of the Eucharist and a lovely reception afterwards. I am always inspired by these wonderful celebrations as so many of our faithful Catholics come together to celebrate all that God has given them despite the challenges they face. We chose some time ago to call this our “Catholics Can" Mass because it is clearly evident that those who belong to our group have far more abilities than disabilities. Again, I thank all those who made the day great success.
