Choir school grad wins award

Madeleine Choir School alumnus Calvin Mumm (Class of 2016), received an award for Best Documentary at the 2020 Teen Indie Awards Show for his film titled “Sown.” In the film, Mumm interviews some Utah high school students about how mass shootings have impacted their lives. “Sown,” a 2019 PitchNic film, was created as part of Spy Hop’s advanced filmmaking class by Mumm, Michael Eggert and Taylor Kiser. Spy Hop is a Salt Lake City-based after-school, media program that provides opportunities for youth to develop skills in digital arts.
