Bishop Wester confirmed students at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Salt Lake City on Feb. 13.

I would like to thank the parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kearns, Immaculate Conception in Copperton and Our Lady of Lourdes in Salt Lake City for their warm hospitality and welcome. I had the privilege of confirming in these three parishes within the last 10 days or so and I very much enjoyed the celebrations and receptions. The students were very well prepared for the reception of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation and I informed them all that we, the members of the diocese of Salt Lake City, welcome them with open arms as they were fully initiated into the Catholic Church. Please keep these newly confirmed in your prayers, as well as their sponsors. We ask that the Holy Spirit will guide them throughout their lives and that we all will remain open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit showered so lovingly upon us in this local Church.
