SANDY — Magda Stockton died May 18, 2016 in Sandy, Utah. She was 74.
Born Constance Marion Magdaline Cammidge April 20, 1942 to Bill and Getrude Cammidge in Johannesburg, South Africa, Magda loved working in the garden – her roses, iris, lilies and gardens were appreciated by all. Throughout her life she loved creating: she crafted beautiful items of stained glass and was also talented at needle crafts such as embroidery, sewing and beading. She had recently become involved with making quilts for the Saint Martha’s Baby Project in Salt Lake City.
She married Roland (Ron) Stockton in 1964, and the couple had two children, Warren and Cheryl. In 2002 they moved to Utah to be closer to their son and granddaughter.
Magda was preceded in death by her husband Ron, daughter Cheryl, grandson Lance, and sister Gayle.
She is survived by her son Warren and granddaughter Bronwyn.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
