The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, gave a presentation on Catholicism to the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable on Nov. 8 at Saint Catherine of Siena/Newman Center in Salt Lake City. Acknowledging that summarizing the faith in a short talk was difficult, he said that Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s First Principle, that people are created to be one with God, is an excellent starting point for those who wish to understand Catholicism. The Interfaith Roundtable "is a group of faith leaders who come together to promote love, harmony and understanding among people of all faith traditions, cultures, and belief systems in the spirit of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games," according to the organization’s website.
