SMITHFIELD — David A. Falor, 78, passed away Jan. 24, 2012.

Falor was born Jan. 17, 1934 in Sioux Falls, S.D. to George and Jennie Falor. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean conflict. He married Loretta Flynn on Sept. 18, 1954 in the Saint Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls. He was a member of the Catholic Church and served as a scout master for Troop 231 at Saint Francis Xavier Parish in Kearns.

Falor is survived by his wife, Loretta; four children: William (Merriett), Julieanne Twiss, Rick (Patti), and Jeff (Cyndi); 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Darwin (Shelly) and sister Gwen (Lenny) Stack.

Falor was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daryl, daughter Laura, and a grandson, David Dickenson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church.
