The St. George Catholic Women’s Group sponsored a “Diaper Drive for Hope” over two weekends in September for the Hope Pregnancy Care Center in St. George, a non-profit, no-cost center that offers assistance, support and counseling to both women and men. The center offers services to parents that enable them to make the best decisions based on their needs.
For the past two years, the parish’s Women’s Group has hosted an annual baby shower for the center, but this was the first diaper drive. It resulted in 4,387 diapers and $2,940 in monetary donations, reported co-chairwomen Judy Williams and Brigitte Ames.
“We are truly grateful for the love and support that was shown by the parishioners of Saint George Catholic Church to the clients who take part in the programs at Hope Pregnancy Care Center,” said Tami Campbell, director of the Hope Pregnancy Center. “The women’s group hosted a diaper drive and the results were truly astounding. Over 4,000 diapers, and numerous financial gifts, gift cards and baby items were delivered to our door by a group a joyful women bearing gifts. Thank you for being instruments of hope to those who need it.”
