Diocesan Advent Retreat

Mary Frances Reza gave an inspiring diocesan Advent retreat a few weeks ago at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in West Jordan. Her bilingual presentation reflected on the various Advent prayers and hymns, bringing a deeper understanding of these beautiful gems in our Church. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to prepare for the coming of Christ this Christmas and the participants seemed to enjoy themselves very much. I am grateful to Ruth Dillon, Susan Northway and Maria de la Cruz Gray for all they did in preparing for this wonderful day of recollection. Each Advent and Lent our diocese offers retreats and I encourage as many as possible to attend these wonderful opportunities to prepare for Christmas and Easter, respectively. We are often caught up in a lot of busyness and it is good to take time out to pray and to reflect.
