To honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, hundreds of people marched in procession around the Cathedral of the Madeleine on Oct. 6, carrying images of Our Lady as she is represented in the various cultures represented in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. “This is the kind of world we should have today instead of being divided and polarized,” said Bishop Oscar A. Solis, who led the procession for the diocesan Intercultural Marian Celebration. “What a beautiful, inspiring message to the world when we Catholics can gather together in spite of our differences; one in faith, one in hope, one in love.”
