Donald Steward Huffaker-Maxwell, of Saint Marie, Mont., passed away at home from natural causes, surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Denise; daughters Frederique (David) Olive, Marie (Christopher) and Lane; sons Christopher (Sandra), John (Nikki), and Anthony (Cindy); six granddaughters: Agatha, Catherine, Nichol, Dakota, Simone and Maggie; six grandsons: Michael, Ian, Austin, Samuel, Luc and William; great-grandson Isaiah; brothers Gilbert (Maggie), Jerry (Linda), Bruce (Connie); sister Linda (Charlie); and brother-in-law Tom McKibbin. 

He was preceded in death by sisters Gail (Owen) and Judy.

He served 21 years in the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Jan. 26 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Committal followed at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
