Frances L. Haller, age 87, passed away in her home on Jan. 17, 2022. She was born in Granger, Utah to Laura L. Perkins and William F. Lehman. She was happily married to Wesley D. Haller, who preceded her July 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her two children, Cami Jo and James Raymond Burns, and her two sisters. Surviving her are her two grandchildren Stephanie (Russ) and Eric, as well as her two great-grandchildren Rian and Arin.

Fran and her husband Wesley were baptized and confirmed Catholic in 1983 and were very active in their faith. They served as chairpersons for many projects and events as well as began a gardening project at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Their love of gardening showed at home as well. They had the most beautiful, well-manicured yard and loved to host friends and family on their back patio.

After Fran retired from General Motors in 1992, she considered yard work her fulltime job and loved every minute of it. She also had a love for charity and volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. She was named and honored as Catholic Woman of the Year in 2014. She attended the yearly dinner with Catholic Community Services helping to restore the Cathedral of the Madeline.

She loved her “simple” life and telling stories about her Momma, Daddy, and sisters growing up on their farm in Granger. Her wall phone and golden yellow appliances were a testament to that. She was proud of her time as a model as a teenager and still has the pictures hanging in her home.

She and Wesley loved to travel. They visited all the New England states, drove from one end of Canada to the other, and took her grandchildren Steph and Eric to Hawaii in 1999 to visit the burial place of her son and their dad, Jimmy Ray.

She was so kind and would do anything for anyone. She was the most independent woman. Her heart was always with her husband Wesley and her two children. She could not wait for Sweet Jesus to take her to see them again.

She will be forever loved and forever missed.

A celebration in her honor was held January 24 at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
