Fun run will raise funds for St. Olaf Parish youth group

Members of the Saint Olaf Youth Group are very active within their community. Last year they volunteered during the Tour of Utah, a professional bike race that passed through Bountiful, and have signed up to help again this year. 

They also have worked twice with Feed My Starving Children, a campaign to pack 200,000 dried meals for kids around the world, and have participated in other activities to benefit the community as well.

They are very active in the Saint Olaf Parish. Their responsibilities include regularly leading the rosary before Mass, promoting the Youth Group portion of the Ministry Fair, preparing and serving a Lenten meal for the parish and community and performing their version of a living Stations of the Cross.

Next year, the Saint Olaf Youth Group will head to Steubenville San Diego, a Catholic conference for teens.

To help defray travel expenses for the trip, the youth group will host its Second Annual 5K fun run on Aug. 27.

WHERE: St. Olaf Parish's McNamara Center, 350 East 1800 South, Bountiful

Sign up at Active.com. Early bird special is $50 for a family of four. Otherwise, the cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children.
