HELPER — Greg Ferderber, 62, died April 21, 2011.

Ferderber was born Jan. 28, 1949, to George and Helen Fabrizio Ferderber. He married Nancy Wheeler Aug. 28 1971, in Helper, Utah. He was a life-long resident of Carbon County and was well known throughout the mining community for his knowledge and many years of experience. This experience included project manager of U.S. Steel Wash Plant, underground mining, teaching, and most recently he owned and operated a successful cable repair business.

His four grandchildren, who knew him as Stati, were the pride and joy of his life and he was happiest when surrounded by them.

He also enjoyed his morning coffee group, golf group, and the special friendships that had developed over the years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and most recently camping with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Ferderber is survived by his wife, Nancy; two children, Renee (Phillip) Sanchez, West Jordon and Frank (Tiffany) Ferderber, Helper; four grandchildren, Andee, Vincent, Hunter and Tommy; two brothers, Steve (Sandy) Ferderber, Sandy, and George Russell (Rusty) Ferderber Sandy; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Committal was in Cliffview Cemetery in Price.
