Helen Katherine Garcia

KEARNS — Helen Katherine Garcia, 89, passed away at home.

Garcia was born July 20, 1922 in Atoka, Okla., to Clarence and Ruby Curry.

She married George M. Garcia while he was a soldier stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. She converted to Catholicism 70 years ago.

Garcia is survived by daughters Ruby Mae (Richard) Francks and (Kathy Peckham); two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; Anthony, Giselle and Joshua Keller, god-daughters and brother Olen Curry (Mary Ann).

Garcia was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, James C. Curry.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
