Honoring the Fallen

The Diocese of Salt Lake City marked Memorial Day with the traditional Mass at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Salt Lake City. Msgr. Colin F. Bircumshaw, diocesan administrator, presided. Concelebrants were Msgr. J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general emeritus; Msgr. Joseph M. Mayo, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish; and Fr. Andrzej Skrzypiec, pastor of Saint Ambrose Parish. Deacon Lynn Johnson gave the homily. Assisting at the Mass were Deacon George Reade, chancellor; and Deacon Dale Dillon. The flag ceremony was conducted by members of Boy Scout Troop 202 of St. Ambrose Parish.
