Juan Diego Catholic High School presents 'Once Upon A Matress'

DRAPER — Juan Diego Catholic High School Performing Arts will present the musical "Once Upon A Mattress," complete with live orchestra. Performances are Feb. 23-26, at 7 p.m. in the Juan Diego auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper.

If you thought you knew the Hans Christian Anderson story of "The Princess and The Pea," you may be in for a walloping surprise! The production team of Juan Diego faculty Steve Pay, Shelti Thompson, Brian Manternach and Erika Manternach bring to the stage their vision of Princess Winnifred as she vies to become the wife of Prince Dauntless, with help from an ensemble of knights and ladies-in-waiting, much to the chagrin of Queen Aggravain.

Cast members include Lauren Rathbun as Princess Winnifred, Matthew Voegeli as Prince Dauntless, Gabbi Lemanski as Queen Aggravain, Cody Thompson as King Sextimus, Joe Bridgeman as The Minstrel and Guy Todaro as The Jester, rounded out by Brent Poppen and Lucy Colosimo as Sir Harry and Lady Larken.
