The Judge Memorial Catholic High School girls swim team captured the 2012 UHSAA 3A State Championship on Feb. 4. It is the team's fourth consecutive championship, and their ninth state title in 10 years.

Standouts in the championship were the 200 medley relay of Amelia Wolfgramm, Kaley Banyai, Alandra McDowell and Allison Witte, who won their event.

Wolfgramm also was the state champion in the 100 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.

Other top individual finishers for the girls were Erica Azad (fifth, 100-yd backstroke), Kaley Banyai (fourth, 100-yd IM; fifth, 100-yd butterfly), Marisa Bush (fourth, 50-yd free), Cassandra Cokl (sixth, 500-yd free), Alandra McDowell (fourth, 500-yd free), Emileeann Moran (sixth, 100-yd free), Marcela Vasquez (sixth, 100-yd breaststroke) and Allison Witte (third, 200-yd IM; second, 100-yd butterfly).

The 400 freestyle relay team finished in second and the 200 freestyle relay took fourth.

On the boys' side, the team finished in third, behind Park City and Wasatch.

Top individual finishers for the boys were Seamus Appel (fifth, 500-yd free; sixth, 200-yd free), Parker Beckett (fifth, 100-yd butterfly), and Dillon Beckett, with a second place finish in the 200-yd IM.

The boys' 400-yd free relay team had a second-place finish and the 200-yd free relay team came in third.
