Jan. 21, 1945 ~ Sept. 25, 2017

Kathleen Tezak Crockett passed away peacefully from cancer at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 25, 2017.

She was born on Jan. 21, 1945, in Salt Lake City, the second oldest child of Stanley Tezak and Erma Kramer. Kathy graduated from Judge Memorial High School in 1963. She married Terry B. Morris in March 1966 and was later divorced. She married Norman D. Crockett in February 1984.

She lived a full and vibrant life and enjoyed playing tennis and golf and boating at Flaming Gorge, where she was active in the Flaming Gorge Yacht Club. During the 13 years she and Norm lived in Mesquite, Nev., she was involved in the Oasis Golf Club and the Mesquite Food Bank.

In 2014, she and Norm returned to Utah, where she enjoyed marshalling at the Soldier Hollow Golf Course and volunteering at the Kamas Food Bank. Kathy and Norm enjoyed cruises and had taken 18 of them, many with family and friends. She loved listening to music – Johnny Mathis and The Eagles were some of her favorites.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Norman; her children Randy T. Morris, Christopher T. Morris (Jake Robertson) and daughter Andrea Morris; step-daughters, Lori (Adam) Burck, Katherine (David) Ehmigh and Pamela Crockett (Lesley Baldwin); nine grandchildren; her siblings Michael (Taryn) Tezak and Celia (David) Jacobsen; brother-in-law Glen Roser; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she leaves behind many friends in Salt Lake City and Mesquite, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Anita Roser and brother John R. Tezak.

We would like to thank the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Intermountain Healthcare Home Health Care for their support and care during her illness.

A celebration of life was held on Oct. 11, and internment was Oct. 12 at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
