SALT LAKE CITY— Kathryn Devlin Loffredo, 86, passed away at her home June 21, 2011 surrounded by her family.

Loffredo was born in Ogden, Utah on Sept. 26, 1924, to James Devlin and Catherine McDonald Devlin. She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1942. During World War II she was employed by the federal government as an editor in the quartermaster supply section, Utah General Depot. She married John P. Loffredo on March 18, 1946 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden.

Loffredo was a member and served as president of the Reserve Officers Association Ladies Club, Promoters of the Sacred Heart League, St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Loffredo is survived by two sons: Joseph James, Ogden, and John Michael (Laura) Skillman, N.J.; three daughters: Cathy Ann, Tucson, Ariz.; Camille, Layton; and Joan, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one due in June: Lisa (Tyler Nealson), Jenny, Jody (Matthew Lindley), Matthew, Anthony (Jennifer), Alexis R., Julia K., Thomas J., Samantha, Joshua, Sage, Connor, Boston, Noelle, and Abigal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son (Anton), grandchild (Heidi) and eleven siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
