layton — Kathy L. Duran, 49, passed away Nov. 5, 2013. Duran was born, July 27, 1964 in Ogden to Dennis Young and Linda Snyder. On May 4, 1985 she married Glenn, at Saint Rose of Lima in Layton. She cherished attending Mass at Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, within Rome, Italy. She battled brain cancer for 17 years and leukemia for two years. Duran is survived by husband Glenn; children Joel (Vanna) Duran, Cody (Floribel) Duran and Taylor (Van) Duran; parents Dennis (Linda) Young and Linda (Mike) McCowen; brothers Denny (Corby) Young and Ronnie Young; and sister Rocheal (Terry) Redford. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
