Holy Week:
The Cathedral of the Madeleine will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. Compline will follow at 9 p.m., then Veneration of the Eucharist from 9:15 p.m. to midnight. Good Friday, April 3, the Passion of the Lord will be in English at noon, followed at 3 p.m. by the choral meditation “Stabat Mater.” Stations of the Cross in English will be at 5:30 p.m. The Passion of the Lord in Spanish will be at 7 p.m. On Holy Saturday, the Sacrament of Penance will be offered from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Vespers will be sung at 6 p.m. The Easter Vigil Mass will be at 8:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday, Mass will be celebrated in English at 8 and 10 a.m. and noon. Mass in Spanish will be at 3 p.m. Vespers and Benediction will be at 5 p.m.
Retreats:
• Saint Mary Parish & Militia Immaculatae will offer the “Bringing Light into the Darkness” Lenten retreat Sunday, March 15, 1-6 p.m. at the church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. • The Diocese of Salt Lake City Young Adult Lenten Retreat will be Sunday, March 22, 1 - 6:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 690 South Cove Drive, Cedar City. • Knights of Columbus Fish Fry: Fridays through March 27 at St. Marguerite Catholic Church, 15 South 7th St., Tooele. Service starts at 5:30 p.m. after Stations of the Cross. Cost for three pieces is $8; $6 for two pieces.
• Lenten Dinners: Fridays through March 27, 5:30-6:45 p.m. at Saint Olaf Catholic Church, 276 East 1700 South, Bountiful
• St. Thomas More Fish Fry: Friday March 13, 5 - 7:30 p.m. Menu includes fish, clam chowder, macaroni & cheese and dessert. Cost is $9 adults, $6 kids, under 6 is free.
