Lessons from Ladies in the Bible: A Women's Retreat in Moab

Over 30 women from Saint Pius X Catholic Church and St. Francis Episcopal Church in Moab gathered Aug. 26-27 for an annual retreat. The reflection and worship was around the theme "Lessons from Ladies in the Bible." Pat Carter and Nanci Flesher from St. Pius X created several worship services of singing and praying. Lois Cooper gave her personal reflections about Mary, the Blessed Mother; and Jeanne Lachowski of Saint Catherine Newman Center in Salt Lake City gave her personal reflections on Ruth, the Moabite. Karen Ohlrich and Cynthia Worthington inspired the ladies with their talk on Martha and Mary of Bethany.

Other sessions included creative prayer activities such as the labyrinth, a world prayer map, braiding ribbons reflecting on God’s weaving in our lives, and making prayer cards.
